SPACES FULL OF ATMOSPHERE
All the buildings of the entire courtyard have
been renovated in the years 2000-2003. All the facades, the roofs,
the groundings and part of the windows were repaired. The traditonal
plants were conserved. Most of the buildings date from the early 1840's,
partly even from earlier times. The entity is officially protected
as a culture heritage. Since 2009, the interiors of the buildings
are being renovated as well. The Vehkaniemi estate is being developed
as a countryside cultural attraction where old and new are integrated
in an interesting and an innovative way.
